The Chinese New Year is coming up soon and celebrations have already begun in that country. February 16th is the official start of the new year, and this is the Year of the Dog.
How are we like the dog? And how might this association enhance our year?
For me, one of the most notable characteristics of dogs is their loyalty. They will never abandon their family or friends. They are also generally very popular and like to surround themselves with others who are like-minded.
Dogs can also be ferocious protectors. And if you think about it, they are tough – they don’t give up easily. So let’s be a “Dog” friend to others, offering a lending hand when needed. And remember to be tough enough on ourself so that we don’t give up on our dreams!
One of the traditional activities during their New Year celebration is the giving of Red Envelopes. These contain money of different denominations and are passed on to elders, parents, children and friends.
Click on the Red Envelope –and receive a small gift – from me. It’s not money; however, I hope it is something you will find beneficial.
Happy New Year!
May it be a Golden Year for you!
